H. E Abdelkrim DIAF serves as Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in Namibia as from 16 November 2023.

Professional experience and career history 

2001–2002: Chief Inspector in the National Customs Directorate, Algeria; 
2004 – 2008: Diplomatic Attaché in the Algerian Embassy, Kiev, Republic of Ukraine; 
July 2010 – July 2015: 1st Secretary in the Algerian Embassy, Maputo, Republic of Mozambique;
August 2016 – October 2018: Deputy Director for Sub-regional Organization & Continental Integration, Africa Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Algiers. 
October 2018: Deputy Director for West and Central Africa, Africa Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Algiers.
Participation in conferences and colloquies
•    Mr Abdelkrim DIAF was a member of Algerian delegation in the 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th Conferences of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, held respectively in Kigali (Rwanda) in July 2016 and in Addis- Abeba (Ethiopia), in January and July 2017 and in January 2018;
•     As he participated in the meetings of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) as well as those organized by the African Development Bank (ADB)
•     He was in charge of monitoring files relating to the meetings of the eight (8) RECs under the African Union, namely (AMU), (ECOWAS), (COMESA), (ECCAS), (SADC), (EAC), (CEN-SAD) and (IGAD); 
•    He was also involved in the preparation and follow up Summits of the "Africa - other partners Partnership", such as the 5th AU-EU Summit, held in Abidjan (Côte-d'Ivoire) in November 2017, the 27th France Summit -Africa, held in Bamako (Mali) on January 14, 2017, the 2nd China-Africa Summit, held in Johannesburg (South Africa) in December 2015 and the 6th Japan-Africa Conference (TICAD), held in Nairobi (Kenya) in August 2016.

From 2019 to 2023, he served as Counsellor of Algerian Embassy in Portugal. 

Academic Education: 
2001: Graduated from the National School of Administration (ENA), Algiers, degree in Economic & Finance. 
2004: Post Graduated Specialized (PGS) in Public Communication from University of Algiers.
